General Info
Dr. Mitchell A. Stark is a graduate of The University of Maryland at College Park and The University of Maryland School of Dentistry. Following dental school, Dr. Stark completed residencies in general dentistry at The University of Rochester Strong Memorial Hospital and Anesthesiology at The Medical College of Pennsylvania. He completed his training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at The Mount Sinai School of Medicine, where he served as Chief Resident from 1993 to 1994. Dr. Stark has practiced at Maryland Oral Surgery Associates since 1994.In addition to his busy private practice, Dr. Stark is actively involved in organized dentistry, education and international volunteering. He is the founder and former Director of Oral and Maxillofacial Overseas in Cambodia, where he personally led multiple missions to perform cleft lip and palate surgery at The Angkor Hospital for Children. Dr. Stark served on the Executive Committee of The Southern Maryland Dental Society and was President of the society from 2005 to 2006. Dr. Stark also serves as a Delegate to the Maryland State Dental Association House of Representatives. Dr. Stark is active in training Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residents at The Washington Hospital Center and has received multiple commendations as an Outstanding Instructor in the department. Dr. Stark has been recognized on multiple occasions as a Top Oral Surgeon by Washingtonian Magazine.Dr. Stark maintains a busy office based practice as well as performing numerous major surgeries in a hospital setting. He is recognized as one of the top surgeons performing orthognathic surgery in the region. Dr. Stark has a particular interest in dental implants as well as orthognathic surgery, jaw reconstruction and the treatment of facial trauma.

I was in and out of the office all 3 times, he gave a detailed description of the procedure to put my mind at ease, and gave detailed instructions for me to follow.

Dr Stark has an air of trustworthiness. He made me feel so relaxed from the first consultation through the post-visit follow up. He's very nice and straightforward so you know exactly what's happening at all times. My surgery took 30 mins and everything went smoothly. Healing took place as normal. Everything went perfectly. As well, Dr Stark took into consideration my financial situation to help me. Great place

My experience was awesome. The doctor was straightforward about what needed to be done. Very nice and explained everything well. Everyone else were incredibly helpful. The whole office was very efficient.
Everything was great! The procedure was so fast and I barely needed pain medicine. Dr.Stark recommended to scan to make sure a nerve wasn't hit and he ended up be completely right. I heard many horror stories about people losing feeling so I am very grateful that I still have all feeling.

He was very detailed when explaining everything when we had my evaluation appointment. He listened and asked if i had any concerns repeatedly-which made me feel safe. But the only bad thing was that he spoke a little too fast to keep up with at some points. But overall he did a great job.
At first i was really scared but they listen to you. They will help you keep calm and everything went smoothly. Highly recommend :)

My dentist and assistant was awesome. They were very nice and polite and made me feel comfortable. The procedure went well and wasn't as bad as I thought.
Dr. Stark was very professional and experienced. He greeted me with a smile and a handshake as soon as he walked into the room. He comes off very trustworthy and confident in his craft, making me feel comfortable. He clearly explained my situation to me, and I schedule the oral surgery right away. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable as well. The surgery was extremely smooth and I recovered quickly.
Arrived at 7:50am and surgery is done by 8:50. Instructions are clear and thorough.
My experience immediately after the surgery for my wisdom teeth +1 extra tooth was painless and the days after as followed. Took the prescriptions as instructed which helped prevent any pain from occurring as well as lightly brushing after the second day of the surgery. Highly recommend anyone to come here!
