Philip, the owner, is an accommodating fellow. Years ago, he thought outside the box and swapped out the lamp shades from the original fixtures to make my wife and I happy. Recently one broke so we ordered new ones, but they were slightly off from the original color...no problem he said. He has a craftsman, Rich, who can match the color....and Rich did! We are very happy with Illuminations. As a plus, they have a fully stocked store with many, many lamps, fixtures, etc. to choose from. I highly recommend them.

One reason I like going into Illuminations in Rockville Centre because they sell quality items. If you want to buy bulbs, for example- you can buy them at the big box retailers, and you might find them at really cheap prices, but that is just the issue - they are cheap. They are not at all the same quality as the ones that are sold at Illuminations. And I got quite an education from the owner, Phil- along with his very nice sense of humor. In one case, not only was the color emanating from the bulb i was buying much better - but the quality bulbs he sells don't make that annoying humming noise, as they do from the big box sellers. In addition, Phil is the first one to tell me "not to buy something" from him, but to stick with what I already have in place, in my home. I wanted to get a fancy light switch, and Phil strongly recommended that I stick what I have. That impressed me and makes me go back to shop there again and again. He could have easily made the sale, but was an honorable business man. Thank you Phil.

Very happy with the service. They were attentive to my problem and provided an effective solution. The part had to be ordered and it came with in a few days. Overall very happy with my experience.
