Operational for more than 35 years, Maine Media Workshops builds educational communities that foster vision, craftsmanship and creative expression. It also acts as a center for education and training in photography, film, video, animation, multimedia, design and book arts. The workshop s film and video technical department features sound, lighting and grip equipment and cameras from several manufacturers, such as Canon U.S.A., Matthews Studio Equipment, Freestyle Photographic Supplies, Avenger and Kodak. In addition, Maine Media Workshops is an year-round college and learning center that organizes over 250 one-week workshops and master classes for filmmakers, photographers, actors, writers, digital artists and creative professionals
