General Info

Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, Julie Christensen's background was in business administration. She worked for the airline and banking industries, primarily in training and management. She received her master's degree in counseling psychology from John F. Kennedy University. Ms. Christensen's specialization is in transpersonal psychology. In addition, she is a graduate from the three-year intensive marriage and family training program at the Link Marriage and Family Institute in Atlanta, Georgia. Ms. Christensen was the lead therapist for a well respected partial hospitalization program in Roseville, CA conducting both educational and therapy groups for their dual diagnosis program. Having worked as part of a multidisciplinary team, Julie met and maintains good working relationships with psychiatrists in the community. As both a wife and mother, Julie understands the joys and challenges of raising children. She likes to travel, camp, hike, knit, read and spend time with family and friends.
