Founded in 1978, Spectrum is a nonprofit organization that provides assistance and support services to people with developmental disabilities. It offers an array of housing and clinical services in its facilities and patients homes. The organization serves more than 600 people and operates over 25 facilities that are located in Bergen, Passaic and Middlesex counties in New Jersey. Spectrum maintains a network of adult training centers that offer educational and recreational opportunities. It provides physical, occupational, speech and dietary therapies. The organization also offers case management and in-home training services. Additionally, Spectrum operates a store, Spectrum from the Heart, which stocks party centerpieces, T-shirts, decorative items and craft products. It maintains various group living homes, apartments and condominiums. Headquartered in River Vale, N.J., the organization maintains a location in Rockleigh, N.J.
