this place has good service and the very best prices for lenses that I have found by a wide margin. You may have to take a number and wait for a few minutes but they are busy for a good reason, far less cost than lenscrafters for lenses.

On Friday, 8/28/09, I took my glasses in for repair ~ reattach bow to frame with screw that had fallen out. I also mentioned the one lens keeps coming out. To my dismay,the technician returned and said that the lens didn't fit the frame and it was a manufacturing defect. Since the glasses were purchased in 11/08, they were out of warranty. They might be able to give me a small discount of $5-10 of the cost of the $40.00 lens. My question is why didn't the person who ground the prescription notice the lens didn't fit the frame? I would have not accepted the glasses. I wear contacts and only use glasses occasionally - I had another pair I had been using. Work is slow, so I was able to stop in and have my glasses fixed only to find out it was my problem ~ not theirs.Is business so good they can afford to lose an old customer who purchases contacts along with occasional glasses every year over a $40.00 lens that didn't fit to begin with?

even though i moved 2 hrs drive away from rockford, il, i still order my contact lenses from them. the business i went to here in wis was terrible by comparison.
