Washington Junior High School is a learning center that is a part of Rock Island-Milan School District 41. The school enrolls students in grades seven and eight. The school s academic curriculum includes math, science, language arts and social studies. It offers special education programs for students with special needs. The school also offers the English Language Learners programs. It conducts classes in computer applications and industrial arts. Washington Junior High School supports activities, such as physical education, art and music, as well as operates a band, orchestra and chorus. The school publishes a newsletter, Warrior Words, which carries updates on school events and activities. It operates a parent-teacher association that conducts fundraising activities. Located in Rock Island, Ill., Washington Junior High School additionally provides meals and medical care.
