Sullivan Middle School is a good school. The teachers are nice but the problem I have with the school is the dress codes and the rule for silent lunch. Sullivan's dress codes for students are khaki pants and a polo shirt. I don't have any qualms about the shirts but they want you to wear khakis without logos on them. If you do wear khakis with logos on them a Sullivan official has the right to remove these logos with a thread removal pin. This is pathetic because most khakis are expensive and for these to be ruined in this way it doesn't make sense. As long as the students isn't wearing anything other than what is required like jeans then it shouldn't matter. Also I have had students tell me that they are denied lunch if they get lunch detention or silent lunch. I thought silent lunch meant no talking while eating lunch. No student should be denied food to eat regardless whether they have the money or they are in trouble. I believe it is a law that all students have to eat some type of lunch or whatever while being in school all of those hours unless something else pops up.
