Ok I have recorded 3 or 4 times at Saxon with low profile groups rephrase: very very underground groups, and it was well more equipped for what we could do, and for the right price. Dave Anderson the engineer and supreme overseer of Saxon, is a hardworking and tolerant engineer (by tolerant he let our "avant garde" jazz group record and listen/put up with it like a pro!). But on the more serious projects we got an amazing sound. It is very comfortable and has amazing acoustics and a serious sound/control room fully loaded with the best of modern and vintage recording and effects equipment. The roomy studio room has a couple organ/pianos as well as various "tone amps" mostly vintage, and a separate sound proof vocal/drumset booth. Dave has everything you need to set up anyway you like, and if your like me and you "know" that vintage gear has more tone and capabilities than half the modern gear available, thats an added bonus with the collection of vintage amps and microphones at Saxon.
