I had an encounter with this self acclaimed master dog trainer at Country Max while she was working with a client. Yes, working! She is rude, arrogant, and her training matches her personality. Abrasive! I, out of respect, avoided the training session by walking my two dogs down a different aisle twice, each time she and her client were right in front of the items I was there to buy. At the check out she was there again stating this is the perfect distraction I need for the training. One of mine started to approach the in-training pooch. She was 4-5 feet away when she knee blocked by this trainer. Another time she step on my dog's leash. If the dog can't be around others' I advise the training take place elsewhere. After arriving home I checked out her website - shock collars for off leash training! That really teaches the dog to come when called. 5 thumbs down for this trainer.

Rochester Canine Academy is amazing. I chose to get a puppy while pregnant with my first child. I knew that I wanted an extremely well behaved dog around babies and small children, since it was to be a large dog. We participated in the residency program and when i picked up my puppy two weeks later I was amazed at what she had learned. Then it was my turn to be trained. Once I knew her commands (which took 5 minutes to learn), I then had the most amazing well trained dog on the planet. I work to enforce her training weekly and get compliments daily that I have the most well trained dog in Rochester. LOVE ROCHESTER CANINE ACADEMY!!!!
After many frustrations and feeling like I was going in circles with getting my dog trained, housebroken and obedient in general, I brought my Mini Dachshund to the RCS for a two week residency program. At the end of the program, I was shocked with my dog's progress. She went from a total mess having daily accidents both in and out of her crate to what I consider a perfect dog. No jumping, no chewing, no wildness that isn't within control. She came back to us 95% housebroken and with a whole new attitude. I'm happier, she's happier and our relationship is infinitely fuller than it was previously. The previous reviewer mentioned negative training methods ? I myself was hesitant about this but bottom line, the Rochester Canine Academy GETS RESULTS. I love my dog more than ever and no longer spend large parts of my free time scolding her ? we?re now free to enjoy each other?s company in a reciprocal, healthy relationship.I 100% recommend the Rochester Canine Academy.

Trainer was disorganized (forgot day of drop off and pick up), much too quick to use negative training methods (she defaulted to a choke collar and used "corrections" more severe than necessary)... Would NEVER recommend.
