General Info
Dr. Gacioch is a cardiologist at the Rochester Regional Health Sands-Constellation Heart Institute. Dr. Gacioch specializes in all aspects of clinical cardiology and interventional cardiology. He earned his B.S. in Biology at SUNY Albany and his Medical Degree in 1984 from the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. Dr. Gacioch did his medical residency at Johns Hopkins and then completed his General Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology Fellowships at The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He additionally earned his Masters in Medical Management from the Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. Dr. Gacioch has practiced cardiology at Rochester General Hospital since 1990. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, General Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology. He is a distinguished Fellow in both the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Intervention. Dr. Gacioch’s honors include the Fr. George Norton Physician Excellence Award (he is the only 2 time winner) and the Rochester Business Journal Health Care Award. He is past president of the Rochester- affiliate of the American Heart Association. He has held multiple leadership positions including CEO of Rochester Cardiopulmonary Group, the Cardiac Catheterization Lab Director at the Sands Constellation Heart Institute and the Chief of Cardiology at Rochester General Hospital. Dr. Gacioch has made a wealth of contributions in the field of cardiology, from educational conferences and regional lectureships to teaching courses and making presentations. He has been active in advancing the field of cardiology with clinical research, primarily investigating the latest the treatments for heart attacks and acute coronary syndromes. Dr. Gacioch has been committed to volunteering both locally and internationally, having gone on numerous medical missions to Haiti, Belize and El Salvador. His outside passions include his growing family, travel, physical fitness and environmental issues.
