Located in Rochester, N.Y., Ballantyne Day Services offers recreation, community involvement and volunteer services to individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities, as well as age-related conditions. It provides services to individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities and age related conditions including dementia. The program promotes health and wellness of body and mind and administers recreational activities, such as gardening, exercise, music and massage therapy. Ballantyne Day Services is a program of The Arc of Monroe County, which works with and for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. The Arc of Monroe County also offers a variety of services that help to increase independence and self-sufficiency, and enhance self-esteem of program participants by providing social development, employment, community living and enrichment opportunities.
