Meet the Doctors: Robert A. Badalament, MD, FACS, was born and raised in the Detroit area. After graduating from Cranbrook High School, he obtained his B.S. in biology at Southern Methodist University and M.D. at Emory University School of Medicine. He completed his urologic residency at Henry Ford Hospital followed by a two-year urologic-oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. In 1987, he began working at the Ohio State University Medical Center and later went on to become Chief of the Division of Urology, Director of the Urologic Residency Training Program, and Director of Urologic-Oncology at the Arthur G. James Comprehensive Cancer Center. He is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has written and co-authored over 100 publications. Dr. Badalament joined the medical staff at Crittenton Hospital Medical Center in 1995 and is currently Chief of the Department of Surgery. Fred Lee, MD, FACR, FICS is himself a prostate cancer survivor. He did his undergraduate and medical school training at the University of Buffalo. Subsequently, he did his radiology residency at the Peter Brent Brigham Hospital and fellowship training at Harvard University. During his career, he has had appointments with the US Army, Strong Memorial Hospital, University of Michigan and Wayne State University. Dr. Lee is internationally recognized for his contributions with transrectal prostate ultrasound and cryoablation of the prostate. He has personally trained many urologists in both of these techniques. He has over 65 publications and has given many presentations. From 1992 - 2002, he served as Director of the Crittenton Hospital Prostate Center. He briefly left Crittenton and practiced at Huron Valley Hospital. In 2003, he entered private practice with his colleague and friend Dr. Badalament. Instructions for New Patients: Being prepared may save you time and avoid additional expenses. Please bring the following: Copies of your medical records including x-rays, surgical reports, discharge summaries, pathology and lab reports.When possible bring in the actual x-rays for personal review by Dr. Badalament. When possible bring the actual pathology (glass) slides for review. Your medications with dosages and times taken. Many larger pharmacies will print such a list as a courtesy service. All insurance cards and referral and authorization forms. Drivers' license. Your primary physician's name, address and phone number. Office Location Rochester Urology, PC is located in Rochester Hills 30 miles north of Detroit, Michigan. From downtown Detroit take I-75 north towards Flint. Exit on University Drive (exit 79). Keep right at the fork in the ramp merging onto University Drive. Continue approximately ½ mile and turn left onto North Squirrel Road. Continue approximately ½ mile and turn right onto east Walton Blvd.

Office Hours: The office is open Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with a 12:00 noon to 1:00 PM lunch hour. We are also open on some Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM.
