Carilion Clinic is a healthcare organization specializing in patient-centered care, medical education and clinical research. Carilion Clinic offers various services pertaining to maternity, surgical, pediatric and women. It also offers certain other services such as dermatology, rheumatology, rehabilitation, and heart, lung and vascular infections. The organization has more than 600 physicians and consists of multi-specialty groups as well as eight not-for-profit hospitals. These hospitals include Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Carilion Roanoke Community Hospital, Carilion New River Valley Medical Center, Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital, Carilion Giles Memorial Hospital, Carilion Stonewall Jackson Hospital, Carilion Tazewell Community Hospital and Bedford Memorial Hospital. In addition, it also has Carilion Foundation, which invests in local programs and projects, targeting basic healthcare, dental care, free clinics, senior services, etc. in western Virginia.
