Dr. Sollinger is board-certified in clinical neuropsychology and conducts comprehensive evaluations for individuals with neurological and other medical illnesses. Neuropsychological assessments provide information regarding how a brain disorder has affected a persons cognition, emotion, behavior, and overall quality of life. Results are used by the physician and treatment team to assist in differential diagnosis, to facilitate treatment planning, and to understand an individuals functioning. Dr. Sollinger received a bachelors degree in psychology from the University of Virginia and a Ph.D. from American University in Washington, D.C. She completed a clinical internship at the Washington, D.C. Veterans Hospital and a two-year residency in neuropsychology through the West Virginia University School of Medicine. Her clinical and research interests include mild cognitive impairment, neurocognitive effects of brain disorders, and dementia.
