Located in Roanoke Rapids, N.C., Halifax Regional Medical Center is a private, nonprofit acute care hospital, with more than 800 medical professionals serving patients in Halifax and Northampton counties in the state. Established in 1912, the more than 240,000-square-foot facility, offers 204 beds, and a range of services, including imaging, joint replacement, occupational medicine, rehabilitation, and surgical and medical services. The hospital also provides internal and family medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics and women s health services. Halifax Regional Medical Center has affiliations with Pitt County Memorial Hospital, Duke University Medical Center, WakeMed and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Medical Centers. The hospital is fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
