Sherman Indian High School, located in Riverside, Calif., is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. It offers a comprehensive high school program and serves students in grades nine through12. It offers a wide range of courses, including English, foreign language, English composition, creative writing, screen writing, mass media and journalism, native American literature, mathematics, science, social science, vocational arts, and health and physical education classes. Its fine arts courses include painting, drawing, native American ceramics and basketry, beading and photography classes. The school also provides various facilities, such as gymnasiums, an Olympic-sized pool, several ball fields, outdoor tennis courts, and handball and basketball courts. Sherman Indian High School provides a variety of athletics activities that include basketball, swimming, weight training, volleyball, softball, soccer, flag football, tennis, badminton, and track and field.
