I had wanted my daughter to learn how to play the piano and also learn how to read music when my she started 1st grade. I found out about John through a mutual friend who told me how great John is. let me tell you John is terrific! John has been patient understanding and reasonable. He teaches his students by giving them reasonable goals that his students can learn at their own pace but he keeps them striving to do better. It's as if John knows exactly what my daughter needs to make the progress needed that keeps her motivated. Noting accomplishments and having local public recitals. I am extremely satisfied with my daughters' progress its made me so proud. Now my daughter is in 8th grade and she still enjoys learning with John. My wife and I have decided to enroll our younger daughter who is now in 1st grade and already is enjoying what she has learned. If you are looking for a teacher in every sense of the word I highly recommend John.

I took my 9 year old daughter to 3 different teachers so she could pick one to teach her the piano. John played a bit of the 'Snoopy' theme song and that was it! She had found her teaher. And he was the most reasonabley priced out of all the ones I called. She has been going now for 10 months and she's already way better than I ever was after a full year. He is patient and soft spoken, and knows when she has practiced and praises her, which makes her want to do better. He does 2 recitals a year, very nice to hear all the kids he teaches. Great teacher, I would reccomend him to anyone, young and old.
