They stink. A guy came and installed a Navien tankless water heater for me and came back two days in a row to fix the same leak. He vented the exhaust not to code, too close to a door and a window according to the installation manual. He vented the intake air inside my garage, a space said by Navien tech support to be too small in cubic feet to vent the appliance. All venting requirements in the manual showed both vents outdoors. The heater kept firing every time I flushed the toilet or used cold water. Had to turn off the DIP switches that controlled the internal recirculation to stop the burner from going off. Fan still came on because the unit should have had a check valve installed on the cold water inlet. Until it's fixed by my knowledgeable plumber, I had to turn off the cold water isolation valve unless I'm using hot water to stop the fan running all the time. I'll never let anyone from this company near my house again.
