Auburn Elementary School is a Title 1 school that enrolls more than 500 students in prekindergarten through grade five. Its facilities include a cafeteria, library, computer laboratory and nearly 30 classrooms. The school s academic curriculum includes programs in art, music, reading, mathematics, and health and physical education. Auburn Elementary School additionally conducts classes in social studies and science. Its science program includes studies in biology, chemistry, earth science and physics. The school s music program includes student participation in singing songs, playing a variety of rhythmic and harmonic instruments, and learning folk dances of various styles and cultures. In addition, Auburn Elementary School offers special education and gifted and talented education programs. It has a guidance department that provides counseling services.
