I purchase a battery for a 2003 Honda CR-V October 30, 2018 at the Hwy 21 location in Rincon, GA. I did not realize they are a Distributor, not a Dealer. The service was inadequate; the person who helped me didn’t seem to know much about batteries, didn’t offer me any information on choosing a battery, etc. In fact, they had a limited number of batteries from which to choose, and the one they had available was not a sealed cell battery. I hesitantly made the purchase. (I should have followed my instincts and gone elsewhere.) After only 15 months, I began to have trouble with the car starting. I had someone check my alternator, which was fine. I went back to Interstate and asked them to check my battery. I was told it was fine. I inquired what the warranty was on the battery and was rudely told that he couldn’t give me a free battery. Not what I asked, indicated, or expected by the way, although every battery I bought in the last 20 years always included a discounted cost of replacement if the battery had to be replaced before end of the warranty. For the next few days my car continued to be difficult to start, turning over several times before cranking. Frustrated, I went to a different Auto Supply Store who tested my battery and showed me that it definitely needed to be replaced. A new battery was installed and there are no more issues with starting, so obviously the battery was NOT good. Very disappointed in the battery, the service and the way I was treated. If could easily have found myself stranded somewhere with a car that would not start. Not cool, Interstate! You should have more respect and concern for your customers. Will never buy another battery for here again and will not recommend this location to anyone. ☹️☹️☹️
