Stephen M. Chen, MD, is a board-certified plastic surgeon, with two offices in Richmond and Midlothian, Virginia. With years of experience and extensive training in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, Dr. Chen is well-known for his compassionate bedside manner and ability to create naturally beautiful results.Dr. Chen attended Virginia Commonwealth Universitys School of Medicine, graduating in 1997 with his doctorate in medicine. He then completed a residency program and internship at the Virginia Commonwealth Universitys Medical Center. In addition, he pursued a plastic surgery residency at the same university in 2003 followed by an aesthetic surgery fellowship at Grotting Plastic Surgery in Birgmingham, Alabama in 2004.As a personable plastic surgeon, Dr. Chens goal is to provide the highest quality care combined with a welcoming environment. He tailors each procedure while considering the patients individual needs and goals, crafting every experience to help each patient feel confident and comfortable about their decisions and outcomes.Dr. Chen performs a variety of cosmetic procedures, including eyelid surgery, breast surgery, tummy tucks, liposuction, and Brazilian butt lifts.
