Dr. Joyce K. Slater has over 20 years of clinical and research experience in the field of psychology. She is a recognized expert in the fields of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and associated OCD spectrum disorders. As an authority on Behavior Therapy, she is sought after to lecture before state and national psychology organizations, medical college symposiums and professional psychiatric associations. Dr. Slater is currently an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at the Medical College of Virginia and a practicing clinical psychologist in Richmond, VA. Dr. Slater has published numerous articles and research papers concerning Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and related topics and currently writes her own psychology column for a city publication. She has served as an officer and board member on numerous psychology related professional associations including the Virginia Psychological Association and the Virginia Academy of School Psychologists.
