The Richmond office of Lutheran Family Services assisted us with our first adoption two years ago and are now working with us on our second adoption. Everyone in the office conducts themselves with such professionalism and compassion, that we would never consider adopting without their expertise! We always receive immediate responses to our emails and phone messages and we never feel as though we are bothering anyone with excessive questions or concerns. In fact, we have always felt as though we are their first priority! We are also very grateful for the thorough and specific explanations of the process each step of the way which allowed us to focus more on the children than on the adoption process.

Lutheran Family Services completed our home study and subsequent update, and we attended their adoption training. Our experiences over the past two years have been extremely positive. Everyone that we have worked with, from the front desk to the expert staff, has been very kind, supportive and informative. Adoption is a very intimidating process, but we always feel that we can count on LFS for answers or constructive feedback.

We had such a good experience on our first international adoption (homestudy and post placement) that we chose LFS for our 2nd adoption. They have been great at helping us through the process both times. We live in Fredericksburg and found it worth the effort to work with the Richmond office!
