This food reminds me of what we use to eat in the days before convenience foods when we actually did our own cooking. I went with 2 friends and we had meatloaf, catfish and pork BBQ with sides of mac and cheese, asparagus, squash casserole and scalloped potatoes that we shared. It was all delicious but the BBQ has a little to much vinager for me. The only thing that could have made it better was homemade rolls but you can't have everything. I will go back every chance I get and maybe they will open another one in the west end because the one downtown gets really crowded, it is not very big.

Quaint restraurant. Great atmostphere and the food is delicions. My favorite restaurant to go to in Richmond. Soul food at its best.
