Founded in 1923, Dunbar Armored provides armored transportation services for banks and retailers through more than 50 branch locations throughout the United States. Dunbar Armored is a part of the Dunbar group, which offers alarm installation and monitoring, armored air transport, ATM replenishment, cash handling, security guard patrolling and bank vault services through its subsidiaries. The Dunbar Group owns and operates Dunbar Alarm Systems, Dunbar Armored, Dunbar BankPak, Dunbar Cash Vault Services, Dunbar Global Logistics and Dunbar Guard Services. Dunbar Armored also markets electronic currency validating store safes to retail and convenience stores. It maintains a fleet of more than 1,000 delivery vehicles. Headquartered in Hunt Valley, Md., Dunbar Armored maintains a location in Richmond, Va.
