One star because I can't put none. I know people swear by this veterinarian, but I am not one of them. She prescribed pepto to my dog who was going into bloat. Google that. You flunked canine health 101, not to mention scaring a lot of people half to death, and putting my animal and family through a horrid time. Time to rethink what you need to be doing at this stage of your life.
It was last Saturday morning at 9 am when I walked in the office to ask if Kathy had time to put my dog down. I explained 2 times that I did not have him with me & if she could do this around 10:30 or 11:00 I'd bring him in. I told Ann this & she relayed it to Kathy, few minutes later Kathy walks out & ask, where is he? When I said I needed to go home & get him, OMG. She got pissed at me, I told her that I explained what I wanted 2 times, she still took a bad attitude towards me. It's not my fault that her help can't focus on a conversation with a customer. The fact that my wife & I was already upset over having to do this in the first place was completely over looked. There was no compassion or sympathy of any kind. After Kathy expressed her anger towards me, she refused to help. I said my dog was suffering & that we just did make the choice & she said bring him in on Monday. Kathy Harris, how dare you to treat anyone with such disrespect, if you can let a animal suffer & talk to the family as you did me, then I'd say it's time to close down & retire. I had respect for you until Saturday morning & you completely stomped all over it. No way will I ever step foot in your office again, you earned that.
I would rate zero stars if it would allow me too. 1:00am this morning our young lab woke us up in a fit. I realized her entire face was incredibly swollen. My husband and I are relatively new to Ray County and while we've taken her into a local vets office (Renfro's, by the way, which I HIGHLY recommend) to have her shots, we've never had an emergency with our dogs so didn't know exactly what to do. We called the Ray County Hospital thinking there would be an on-call vet who would be happy to help us. Well, there was an on-call vet, but the "happy to help us part...not so much." The vet answered, a woman and I didn't catch her name but am told it's Kathy Harris. I asked if she was the vet on-call. Her response? "Well, I was asleep and and its 1:00am so I hope this is an emergency!" I told her it is to us. She asked if I'd ever been there, I said no but I'd been to Renfros. She screamed at me, "well then why didn't u call THEM?!" I apologized for bothering her and hung up.
Cathy, thank you for taking such good care of Buddy. Cleaning his teeth and even extracting one was traumatic but he's doing well. I'm several miles away but would like to consider using you for all my vet needs. Again - thank you

I have used Cathy Harris as a veterinarian between 15-20 years. I have always been very happy with her care for animals as well as her compassion for their owners. She is very friendly, loving to all animals and is the most affordable veterinarian I have ever went to or ever heard of. Her staff is also very friendly and courteous. This veterinarian and her staff does everything possible to insure that her patients and their family are both comfortable during your visit at their office.
Always willing to work you in and very helpful. Very caring and knowledgeable about my pets needs.
