Starr Elementary School provides a range of academic enrichment programs for students in kindergarten through grade six. The school s curriculum includes instruction in language arts, science, mathematics and social studies. It also offers classes in computer science, art, music, and physical and special education. Starr Elementary School hosts educational fairs, parties, and family literacy and fun nights. The school operates an after school club and organizes spelling bee competitions. It additionally provides accelerated reader and America Reads programs. Starr Elementary School has a parent-teacher organization that conducts a variety of fundraising events. The school is a part of the Richmond School Community, which maintains elementary, middle and high schools.
