An entire menu with comfort items plus snacks and drinks was offered- I chose the blanket and noice cancelling headphones to listen to my music during my exam and cleaning.   Tremendous with kids (as well as adults). However, I have some biological issues that prevent dental anesthetics from working very long (as well as some oddly located nerves) so getting dental work done has involved sedation in the past. Dr Eli found a cavity and the need for a possible root canal in my first exam. He was reluctant to refer me for sedation, and did some testing and discovered he could keep me numb for 15 minutes. Just barely enough time, but he got it done. Fortunately, he checked via dental CT and a root canal is not required.

  My name is Maycee, I have been working in the dental field for 3 years as a dental assistant alongside Dr. Thornock! I graduated from Southridge High and CBC with my AA and am currently applying to hygiene school! My love for dentistry began when I was 7 years old watching my sister get her braces! I fell in love with the idea of using my own skills to improve someone’s self-confidence! I enjoy spending time with my cat and doing activities outdoors. I look forward to meeting you!

  Throughout my career, I have made continuing education a high priority, to be able to provide the best that dentistry has to offer to my patients. I have been a member of both Spear and Seattle Study clubs, am member of The American Dental Association and Washington and Benton/Franklin Dental Societies as well as the Academy of General Dentistry. I have taken advanced training in endodontics, oral implantology and have been certified with the American Academy of Facial Esthetics for cosmetic procedures including Botox and dermal fillers. I am currently pursuing a fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry.
