James Jordan Associates traces its beginnings back to 1934. Established in 1984, and carrying on the fifty-year tradition of Myron A. Jordan, we are an architectural firm experienced in educational facility planning and design. More than eighty percent of our work is with public school districts. Our work involves evaluation and renovation of existing buildings, additions to these facilities, and new construction. We have completed hundreds of projects all across New York State. We offer a full array of architectural services, including specialized experience in asbestos abatement, accessibility and reroofing. In our role as the prime professionals directing the design team, we select and bring together consultants pre-eminently qualified for your project. We take great care in this selection - after all, it is our name on the documents. Each team member must share the same standard of excellence we require of ourselves. Their technical expertise, professional experience, and attributes as a good team member must be proven. We are proud to commission some of the most talented engineers and consultants in their respective fields. James M. Jordan, AIA, is the principal of the firm. He serves as the main point of contact for clear lines of communication. During his career, Jim Jordan has been responsible for over a half billion dollars of public construction. He is a registered architect in the State of New York and the Commonwealths of Pennsylvania and Massachusetts. A former President of the Central New York Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, he currently serves on the Board of Directors of the non-profit Otsego County Development Corporation and is a Board member of the Otsego County Industrial Development Agency. He holds Masters of Business Administration and Bachelor of Architecture degrees from Syracuse University and a Bachelor of Science from Alfred University.
