• Glaucoma
  Optical Coherence Tomography, a sophisticated microscopic scanning of the optical nerve, and Visual field testing, done to check for shrinking of the peripheral vision associated with glaucoma, are performed as often as needed to look for stability to this disease. Office exams are typically done four or more times per year.

• Laser Eye Surgery
• Cataracts
  Most patients are on drops for 2 to 4 weeks and can receive a final prescription of eyeglasses, if needed, between 6 to 12 weeks after surgery. If the second eye also requires cataract removal this can be done one to two weeks after the first eye.

  Dr. Zeigen is extremely experienced in modern cataract surgery. He was one of the first Ophthalmologists in the country to use foldable intraocular lens implants, now the defacto method of lens implantation.
• Eye Exam
  Richboro Eye Care gladly accepts Private Healthcare System which manages many related insurance plans (such as The Guardian and Great West Life). Please check the back of your insurance card and look for the PHCS symbol. PHCS does not cover routine eye examination or the fitting of contact lenses. You need to call your plan and see if we are on the "panel of physicians"!
