Not enough cases to sustain a full-time job Supervisors very inexperienced, always having to refer out to THEIR supervisors - not very comforting. Think the management forgets that nurses are licensed and must follow the individual practice acts. Some supervisors aren't following those same practice acts, sorry to say!

Pay was better than some Home Health companies out there. They seemed to appreciate years of experience.BUT, not enough cases to work continued full-time hours?????

I was very fortunate to meet some nice and very skilled nurses who worked for Viva. We became highly supportive of each other in the absence of really strong, skilled and supportive nursing supervisors.I always had pleasant experiences with the front office schedulers, thank you. The office manager presented himself upfront as a really hands-on guy who was really there for the nurses. Refreshing, but I found many instances to the contary. It seems like my words fell on deaf ears. If you choose to present yourself that way, then please follow through OR don't present yourself as someone you are not.I suggest the owners periodically have ALL Viva nurses fill out some type of anonymous survey that could be mailed and then you will know better what really goes on

A well-seasoned nurse for more than 3 decades now, I was excited to join the Viva team as a home-health nurse in the field. Orientation was impressive as I hung on to the WORDS from an experienced supervisor with Viva, "we go by the book". Actually, that's what NURSING in any state should be about. And certainly, if Viva "goes by the book", then certainly any nurse that "goes by the book" would not only be recognized for his/her ethical standards BUT would also be supported by the same company that made these verbal claims. My experience was NOT such. At one point, I stood ALONE in doing the right thing and what The Board of Nursing requires by law. I felt little to no support from my immediate supervisor and it appeared that the supervisor was frequently hesitant to do the right thing, morally and ethically. Viva's actions had negative repercussions towards me. I would caution any nurse to think twice before applying with Viva Pediatrics.
