After only 2 days in the village my step brother was neglected. he was left to lay in his excrement for more than 2 and a half hours. the staff would not return calls . My step brother was accused of things he did not do. when he arrived the bed was too small as my step brother was a large man. he was around 270 pounds. the staff's answer was to place a thin pillow under his back. When my step brother complained of chest pains, e.m.s. was called and he was transported. When the cause of the pain was found and he hospital was ready to discharge the village at Richardson refused to take him back due to our excessive complaints in a 48 hour time frame. The village at Richardson did not give the family the professional curtacy of telling us he could not come back. in fairness, my step brother did yell at staff but the staff was to call the family should any problems happen. the staff said when asked they lost contact information that was in the chart. finely the staff did not notify until the next day my step brother had been sent to the hospital. the family found out the next day when contacting the village to find out how he was doing.

When my father started residing at The Village I instantly googled the Rehab Nursing Home in hopes of finding out what the place is like only to find 15 or more sites and 2 or 3 reviews. So I promised myself and secretly promised the next person that when he/she checks the reviews on this elderly home they will know something/anything. So, please PAY IT FORWARD! Now, my father has just arrived so I can only speak on the "First Impression so to say." I thought the staff were fare, no more; no less. But as some parents use to say,"My job is to be your parent, not to be your friend....I do think thats their same formula. My fathers nurse was very informative when asked a question. She kept it to straight facts & simple facts. The place seemed a little warm, nothing a fan can't fix. It was sanitary. I am very relieved.I will keep you guys informed. Till then: Look Up That's Where the Angel's Are!
