- Dental ExaminationIn much the same way your Pediatrician is trying to give your child the best possible start physically in life, we feel the same way about the oral health. Along with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, we recommend that the first dental examination be by 12 months of age. A good motto to help you remember: with the first tooth, or first birthday, it’s time to set up a first appointment.
- X-rays
- Teeth Cleaning
- Fluoride TreatmentIn most cases, the first trip to the dentist for their first dental appointment will be for examination only. Depending on the age of your child, a cleaning, fluoride treatment and x-rays may also be done. If dental treatment is necessary, a treatment plan will be discussed with you. No restorative work will be done at the first appointment.
- Dental SealantsFor our patients without dental insurance, we’ve launched our Smile Club membership* to provide cost savings and to simplify payment for sealant, restorative and/or cosmetic care.
- CrownsIf a permanent tooth is knocked out, hold it by the top part (crown), rinse it gently with water, reinsert into the socket, making sure it is facing the correct direction, and take the child to the dentist immediately. If you can’t replace the tooth put it in a container of cold milk or in a cold wet cloth and bring it to the dentist immediately.
- Tooth ExtractionsYou JUST got home after A GREAT DENTAL APPOINTMENT, perhaps a tooth extraction and/or receiving dental anesthesia, AND NOW YOU'RE TRYING TO REMEMBER ALL OF THE POST-OP CARE INSTRUCTIONS YOU DISCUSSED WITH YOUR DENTAL TEAM...
