We hired Dan to strip wallpaper in our bedroom and repair / repaint the walls in our master, guest and daughter’s rooms. He gave us a reasonable quote that included specific references to repairs he would make as well as how many coats would be applied – he then informed us he would need to charge us more after he started the job and felt it was more work than he originally expected (despite the fact that he did a walkthrough of the house before submitting the quote). He showed up late and left early every day, he did not repair even ONE of the cracks or nail pops that he referenced in his quote and the quality of work was so poor that my husband had to repaint each room himself just to cover the white patches Dan left behind, which took hours. Dan didn’t bother to lay down plastic over our guest bed and we found large spots of paint on the headboard, sheets and comforter which did not come out. We discovered later that he used the second worst quality paint available and was untruthful about the finishes throughout the process. After the job was finished, we reached out to him asking him to fix and complete his subpar work at which point he went completely silent on us after taking our money. This was far and away the worst “professional” paint job we’ve ever experienced and highly advise anyone considering hiring Dan to look elsewhere.
Dan is truly amazing to work with on all levels. He goes above and beyond to insure that his customers end up with the stunning results they are after! I have no problem recommending Dan to anyone that is in search for high end painting services!
Finding a good quality painter can be allot like finding a needle in a haystack BUT LOOK NO FURTHER!! From my first meeting for an estimate with Dan Umbro (Owner) I found his honesty, skills, communication practices, and knowledge to be extraordinary.Dan and his crew are amazing, professional and produce great quality work! They went above and beyond what I asked for. They were responsive, friendly, and timely. They took pride in their work and our house looks beautiful!
