After a recent pedicure I experienced pain throughout the night, waking me frequently. The next day I noticed a large 3" by 3/4" blister on my right heel and the pain continued in that area another night or two. Then a slight crack developed (I go get pedicures to prevent dryness and cracks on my feet) and has worsened over the past week. I have had to soak my foot in hydrogen perioxide and then straight alcohol followed by a soapy warm water soaking. All to no avail. I think my nail tech removed too much skin while using the pumice stone to remove callases. I've never had this happen before and have had pedicures for 25 years. Why did this happen?
