Hughes Middle School is a part of Fairfax County Public Schools and is located in Reston, Va. The school has an enrollment of more than 800 students in grades seven and eight. Its curriculum includes foreign language, health education, mathematics, music, social studies, technology, visual art, English, and home and career skills. The school also offers various special programs, including special education services for students with disabilities, center- and school-based gifted and talented classes, English for Speakers of Other Languages and a foreign language curriculum. It organizes various extracurricular classes that include Saturday academy, peer tutoring and mediation, foreign language program and Club 78. Hughes Middle School has business partnerships with SI International, Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman Corporation.
