Founded in 1963, the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics is the professional society for the field of aerospace engineering. It has more than 31,000 members and publishes nine technical journals, monthly general interest magazine, Aerospace America, and a series of technical books. The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics organizes various conferences on space engineering. It conducts a variety of courses in aeroacoustics, astrodynamics, flight testing, remote sensing, missile systems, and aircraft design, operations and safety. The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics offers scholarships and personal interaction and research opportunities.
