Provided by DexKnowsOur side by side refrigerator/freezer suddenly stopped defrosting on Monday. We noticed it because there was a sheet of ice on the back wall of the freezer. I went on line and found Rob's Appliance. I called and a really nice woman named Carol answered. She asked me a few questions about the appliance and then gave me a few guesses as to what could be the problem, and priced each one of the repairs. All the quotes she gave sounded reasonable to me but I never felt that those were final, set in concrete prices. The repair person came this morning on time, checked out the freezer, immediately knew what the problem was and fixed it. The whole operation took less than half an hour. He clearly knew what he was doing and he did it professionally and with a good attitude. We now have a working refrigerator/freezer again.I will recommend this company to all my friends.

Provided by DexKnowsKnowing next to nothing about the inner workings of our appliances, Iâm a prime candidate for paying way too much. If the repair guy said something like âthe flux capacitor needs changing, itâs $800.00â , I wouldnât know enough to question it. Thatâs why Iâm so glad I went with Robâs Appliance Repair. I thought I knew what might be wrong with our dryer, described it when making the appointment and was given an estimate on the phone. When Craig came out, the repair was actually something else and the final bill was about ½ of what we were expecting. My confidence in human nature went up several notches. We would definitely use them again - I feel they can be trusted to be fair. What a relief.

Provided by DexKnowsOur washing machine was leaking everywhere. My husband was able to determine there was a massive rip in the interior seal of the front door. We called four companies to quote the repair, each was competitive at ~$350. We chose Robâs due to reviews on this site. The leak was on Thursday, Robâs had an appointment available Friday but we elected to sacrifice (even with 2 and 4 year old boys) having a washer for five days to accommodate our work schedule and selected a Tuesday appointment as we both work full time and the 3-5PM appointment allowed us to not miss work. Tuesday (today) we received a call late morning letting us know the estimate was incorrect and it would be ~$550!! We decided to cancel the appointment because 1) we understand that we could have legitimately been mis-quoted but 2) would expect to be notified immediately of the modification. Having been notified of the âmis-quoteâ (by nearly 100%!!) five days after said quote and the day of the scheduled service (interesting enough, probably the last appointment of the day, 3-5PM), that the quote was not correct, as a customer-centered business practice, at the least, I would expect that the service be offered at the original price anyways, risking being found deceptive and disingenuous. As a side note, the part was available online for $120 (through the manufacturer), and we found several instructional tools online to replace the part, hence saving approximately $400!Advice: skip the 100% part mark-up and labor costs and do it yourself â or find a company that values customer service and business integrity.

Provided by DexKnowsIn Jan/2012 my washer broke. As a recent widow it's been scary depending on strangers to fix things my husband used to. I went to dex yellow pages and decided on Rob's Appliance. I called and Rob came the same day. I didn't have the model number when I called so he needed to come back the next day with the correct electronic part. No extra charge for coming out twice. Rob is honest, friendly, very great price and my washer is like new. Yesterday, 3/1/2012 my dryer broke. Called Rob's Appliance again and that afternoon Craig showed up. He was able to get my dryer fixed, once again, fast, friendly and honest. I will always use Rob's Appliance and recommend them to anyone in need. They were on time and the woman answering the phone is very friendly and made me start laughing through my tears of frustration. You won't be sorry that you called Rob's Appliance. P.S. If possible, to make it easier for them, have the model numbers when you call. I know have them w/in reach.Lois ZKent, Wa

Provided by DexKnowsThe bellows on my older model Whirlpool wore out and the washer started leaking out the front.I called several repair places and found out that this was a hard machine to fix and most of the repair places couldn't handle it. Bellevue Appliance repair just stopped returning my phone calls. ABC Appliance Repair finally referred me to Rob's.The lady on the phone was very courteous. I liked that she told me how much the part would cost (about $175) and the total cost (about $275 without tax) before the repairman came over. The repairman came on time and was able to fix the washer. After a couple of days of use, it seems to be repaired.I have been having trouble with my gas stove, and the repairman (Craig), took a few minutes after the repair to give me an overview of what was wrong and how to go about finding the correct repair alternatives.I get the impression that this place is honest -- the prices aren't low, but they are fair. .

Provided by DexKnowsCraig has been to my house twice. The first time to fix my oven, was polite, friendly, professional, got the job done and didn't waste my time. I was his last appointment of the day and he was still very professional, kind and got the job done. He was here today again, on time. He fixed my microwave quickly, and was super professional and friendly. He even let me clean a part that only can be cleaned if you take it apart. That extra time wasn't required but that is what nice guys do. I will use them always. They are quick to return calls, quick to come out and always are professional and friendly.

Provided by DexKnowsI had problem with my dishwasher and called Rob's Appliance to get it fixed. the technician they sent out was on time, professional, and knowledgeable. He even wore shoe covers so that he wouldnt damage my floors. I would recomend this company to anyone that needs an appliance fixed.

Provided by DexKnowsThe guy they sent to my house was very rude and offensive. He was rude to people in my house and myself. He thought we were in his way. I will never use their services again. Unprofessional and rude!

Provided by DexKnowsThe repair guy was borderline offensive (remember "Nick Burns--Your Company's Computer Guy"?). He started by doubting that there was anything wrong at all and then ended by advising us to buy a new machine rather than paying for "a total teardown." But honestly, it kind of seemed like at his last appointment of the day he just wanted to collect 80 bucks for his boss and clock out.

Provided by DexKnowsI called because my dryer wasn't working properly and asked if they could come out and fix it. They told me before I spend my money to check a few things on the dryer and they even referred me to another company to clean the vent. The problem was completely diagnosed over the phone with no charge. That's amazing service!
