During this class, you'll learn the fundamentals of this theatrical martial art though drills meant to internalize the movements. With these techniques in hand, you'll gradually learn how to fuse them together into improvisational sequences and combinations that will keep onlookers guessing. In addition to being a self-defense technique, capoeira is a dance, designed to be performed to an accompanying style of music, and that aspect will feature heavily into your practice. Also, this class is designed so that anybody can take part, making gradual and natural adjustments over time as you build towards increasingly fast movements, high kicks, and fluid acrobatics.
