AMERCO is the holding company for AMERCO Real Estate Company, U-Haul International, Republic Western Insurance Company and Oxford Life Insurance Company. The company has five operating segments and four reportable segments, which include moving and storage operations, property and casualty insurance, life insurance and SAC holdings. AMERCO s moving business consists of U-Haul truck and trailer rentals, U-Haul moving supply and service sales, U-Haul self-storage room rentals, self-storage related product and service sales and management of non-owned self-storage facilities. Republic Western Insurance Company provides loss adjusting and claims handling for U-Haul. Oxford Life Insurance Company originates and reinsures annuities, credit life and disability, single premium whole life, group life and disability coverage and Medicare supplement insurance. SAC Holding Corporation and its subsidiaries own self-storage properties that are managed by U-Haul under property management agreements.
