- ObstetricsOnce you are pregnant, we encourage you to contact our office to arrange an appointment during the first trimester. At that time we will confirm your pregnancy and discuss routine prenatal labs as well and any optional genetic testing and testing options for birth defects. At your first obstetrics visit, you doctor may perform a transvaginal ultrasound to visualize the early pregnancy. Typically, if an ultrasound is performed, a photograph can be provided to you for your scrapbook.
