What is REIKI? In 1922, Reiki was discovered by Mikao Usui as a non-invasive and non-manipulative Japanese technique that works holistically as a whole on the mind, body, and spirit. It is also known as a form of energy medicine. The purpose of a Reiki treatment is to stimulate natural healing within the body, to reduce stress and pain, to release emotional and spiritual blockages, to promote relaxation as well as to support and enhance medical treatments and other therapies. What is Massage Therapy? Massage therapy is manual manipulation of soft body tissues of the body, such as, muscles, connective tissue, tendons and ligaments to enhance a person's health and well-being. There are various types of massage therapy techniques/methods/modalities.
