- Robotic SurgeryDr. Tam attended UC San Diego on a Regents Scholarship, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry and cell biology. He then obtained his MD degree with research distinction from Carver College of Medicine at the University of Iowa. He went on to complete his urology residency at the University of Michigan. During his medical education and residency training, he published many peer-reviewed journal articles, received several awards including the St. Joseph Mercy Resident of the Year Award, and was an active member of the American Urological Association. Dr. Tam also excels clinically and practices general urology with a special interest in stone disease, minimally invasive surgery, and robotic surgery with the Da Vinci system. He joined Urology Nevada in 2022 and is eager to serve the community with the highest level of care.
