Altair Nanotechnologies is engaged in developing and commercializing nanomaterial and titanium dioxide pigment technologies. Altair also provides contract research services on select projects where it can utilize its resources to develop intellectual property and new products and technology. The company's nanomaterials and titanium dioxide pigment business is organized into two divisions. The performance materials division produces advanced materials for paints, coatings, sensors, alternative energy devices and materials for improving process technologies. The life sciences division produces pharmaceutical products, drug delivery products and dental materials. Altair Nanotechnologies, formerly known as Altair International, is headquartered in Reno, Nev.
