This place is a bit of a drive for me, coming from Catonsville, but worth every mile! Dr. Eidel is wonderful, but honestly I don't ask for any specific vet when making an appointment - my dog loves them all, and I feel they all provide outstanding medical care. Dr. Eidel stands out in part because she went above and beyond to let me be with my cat when he needed to be put down, staying hours late on a Saturday so that I could get to the clinic, and then leaving me in the room to spend some final time with him before the treatment. What a great vet, and what a great person! I can't recommend her or this facility strongly enough.
We have used this veterinarian office for over twenty years, having taken many family cats and dogs, breeding animals and pets alike. They are knowledgeable about a variety of clinical problems, have diagnosed some unusual disorders, and are well connected with other experts. To top this, they are also extremely caring with every encounter on the phone and in person from every staff member. My dogs constantly try to escape me to go behind the desk and visit. They are obviously treated with care and compassion, feeling they are with family, even when going there when sick or in pain. They have also been supportive when we have taken rescue animals in for emergency care and provided discounted care and assistance to locate owners or new homes. There are resident pets in the office, adding to the open atmosphere.
I've taken my pets here for about 8 years and probable referred 10 other people that now also go there.Laser equipment is important to me. These folks really care. You don't have to wait forever to be seen either.
I switched from another Vet to Mountainside and my dog and 2 cats just love the Doctors and staff. My dog used to start whining when I would pull up at the other Vet. and now she gets very excited to go to Mountainside. Even my cats that are skittish around people do great with the staff. I recommend Mountainside to everyone I know.
