Founded in 1935, South End Elementary School features a gymnasium, cafeteria, library and classrooms. The school offers classes in reading, writing, mathematics, science, social studies and computer science. It has a parent-teacher organization that sponsors several activities, such as fundraising, festivals, family movie nights and projects. South End Elementary School serves students in pre-kindergarten through grade five. The school has a staff of a nurse, guidance counselor, speech therapist, psychologist and custodians. It administers the English as a Second Language program. In addition, the school provides a range of programs in music, art and physical education. South End Elementary School is a part of the Rockingham County Schools and is located in Reidsville, N.C.
