San Mateo County Office of Education is an intermediate educational service agency. It provides instructional, business and consulting services to more than 20 local school districts and to the California Department of Education. The agency also provides business services, data processing, administrative and curriculum assistance, and professional library, films, videos and educational technology supplies to the school districts. The agency conducts classes for students with special needs and provides a range of vocational training courses and educational sessions through the Regional Occupational Program. In addition, it operates various court and community schools for more than 1,000 at-risk students. San Mateo County Office of Education operates student, instructional, and fiscal and operational services divisions. It is located in Redwood City, Calif.
