My uncle was a resident at the Redford assisted living facility before he passed away. He was very satisfied and well taken care of. I will refer to this facility in the future.

I have a love one in the Memory unit unit. I expected more structure. There are alarms on the doors, meals are healthy and staffing at a higher ratio. The calender of Life Enrichment is the same for all of POR. I had expected staff on the Memory Unit to Engage the tenants with a speciality training for working with those with memory loss. Other than meals, I have never seen the staff interact with those that live there. Do not get me wrong, the staff is pleasant. In other places, I have witnessed special approach for those with memory loss. With such activities, feelings of security, dignity, comfort can maintained longer.

The jury is still out regarding the assisted living section. Dad has been there for awhile; not sure I'd select this place if we had to do it again. Some things are good. We expected more.
