- Internal MedicineShasta Regional Medical Center, a member of Prime Healthcare, received accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) to start a new internal medicine residency program in July 2023. The three-year residency program, sponsored by the Prime West Consortium, will begin with eight internal medicine residents per year for a total of 24 residents.
- Lung CancerThe Lung Nodule Screening Program provides patients with an opportunity to screen for pre-cancerous lung nodules, before they progress into lung cancer. The goal is to reduce lung cancer mortality with low dose Computer Tomographic Screening.

- MRIImaging technologies give doctors a greater insight into the human body. The 64-slice CT is distinguished from other diagnostic imaging tools like a traditional X-ray and MRI by its ability to display a combination of soft tissue (such as muscles, tissue, organs, and fat), bones, and blood vessels all in a single image. Clinicians perform CT scans to diagnose kidney, lung, liver, spine, blood diseases, cancer, tumors, and cysts as well as blood clots, hemorrhages, and infections.
